CWB: BRAND NEW PRODIGY BOARD!!! Rob Struharik, ranked in the top 4 of world professional wakeboarders, teamed up with the engineers at CWB with the goal of a better performing finless board. Rob then worked with CWB Sales Representative Michael Fudzinski to design a graphic concept for the series. The first board to be produced in the series is the Prodigy 136, which is now being shipped to dealers worldwide. The second board will go into production in early May. Called the Prodigy 140, it has its own unique but similar hand painted graphic. Besides the 6 built in fins the Prodigy features molded in inserts. The construction is a graphite/fiberglass composite and a thin profile design of C.A.P.T. technology, Baydur poly resin core and ultra-light Unibond construction.

Why is CWB introducing a finless board when some manufacturers have failed with their finless designs? Pro rider Joel Cahill says it all. "The Prodigy is a completely different board. Being finless, it allows for quick releases off the wake and a laid-back feel. But unlike other finless boards, it doesn't sacrifice the tracking and stability of a finned board." National Men 1 Champion Matt Hickman adds, "Until I experienced the new Prodigy, I was confident that a finless board was not right for my style of riding. I usually take a lot of speed into the wake, and with the Prodigy I am able to hold my edge with no wash outs".

Many of the stores listed as CWB Test Centers at CWBwakeboards.com will have the new Prodigy for the consumers to try.

All of the Prodigy boards introduced now will be part of an expanded CWB line for 2002. This summer another model in this series of Prodigy boards will be released with a totally new construction process from CWB.
