I would have to guess this board is around 7lbs, pretty standard for a 141cm board. With a 2.75” rocker and 16.75” waist, this board really handled great in the water. The shape of the rocker led to very predictable pop off the wake and landings were smooth. When you first glace at this board it seems very square and narrow. Yet comparing the board side by side with others its width is right on par… The top Joker/Chemist graphics are definitely trick, and the color scheme is clean. Turning the board over you instantly notice the molded side fins, and channels at the tip and tail.

The continuous rocker of this board allowed an easy switch from my previous ride, a 2001 Doubleup Collin Wright 143. The pop generated was smooth and consistent unlike the classic ‘buck’ you would feel from 3 stage board. I rode the board both finless and with a 1.2” center fin, but due to water conditions I favored the 1.2” center fin. The molded fins grabbed the water and provided solid tracking into the wake generating great speed and pop. Releasing the board was simple and with the weight distribution of this board, it is definitely spin friendly.

Overall, I was very impressed with this board from spins to slides and inverts to faceplants the board out-preformed all my expectations. One odd note that I must add is the fact that there were only 3 instead of the standard 4 holes for binding placement. Yet in the days of ‘wider is better’ this might not make any difference to 90% of the people riding this board, but I thought it was worth the mention. I would recommend this board for a larger set of riders ranging from 165lbs+ and 5’9”+ with a skill level of intermediate to expert. Riding the board finless was definitely fun, but unless you are on butter, the .6” side fins might not be enough for trick consistency and stability.

At $299 from Boarders Paradise this stick will definitely not break the bank, and it gives other big name manufacturers a good run for their money. Robin Roberts and Serum boards definitely make a statement with new this exiting company, pressing an awesome first product. Coupled with the signing of west coast spin master Collin Wright, I would definitely look for more great products from this new company.
