On May 17-19, 2002 the best athletes that collegiate water skiing has to offer will come together for three days at the Isle’s of Lake Hancock in Orlando, Florida for the 2002 United States World University Championship Team Trials and 2002 All-Star Waterski Tournaments. Centurion Boats, in its continuing support of collegiate waterskiing, is pleased to announce that the Centurion LaPoint will be an official towboat of the event.
Over 120 collegiate waterskiers from over 100 collegiate waterski teams in the United States will compete for both a spot on the United States Collegiate World Team that will travel to China for the Collegiate World Championships in August and also for personal glory in the All-Star tournament to become an “All American” skier. “Collegiate skiing is something that has exploded over the last few years,” explains Centurion Marketing Director Robert Thayer. “The athletes of the NCWSA are the future of waterskiing and also future Centurion customers. Our involvement with collegiate skiing only benefits everybody.”
A Centurion LaPoint Open Bow and also a Centurion LaPoint Closed Bow will be on hand to pull the athletes in the slalom, jump, and trick events on May 17-19.
