Centurion Signs University of Texas

With the new Centurion collegiate and promotional programs beginning to explode across the United States, collegiate waterski teams all across the country are jumping on the Centurion bandwagon. Leading the way was the University of Texas Longhorns.

Since 1978, The University of Texas Waterski Team has competed among the top colleges and Universities in the country as part of the National Collegiate Water Ski Association (NCWSA) and now they will do it behind Centurion Boats. “Our commitment to collegiate waterskiing is huge. These athletes are the future of water skiing,” explains Centurion Marketing Director, Robert Thayer.

The University of Texas competes in the South Central Conference of the NCWSA along with teams like ULM, ULL, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech. In their 24 year existence, Texas has qualified and competed in the National Championship Tournament 10 times with their most recent being this past year in Tempe, Arizona where they finished in 6th place. “We have gone (to nationals) four years straight now, finished 6th this year which as far as we can tell was 1st place for totally non-scholarship schools, “comments Brian Telano of the University of Texas Team.

The Texas orange Centurion LaPoint Open Bow will now pull the Texas team to many more Nationals appearances.
