Ruck and Webb Ride Hyperlite

For the last three years, Hyperlite has made a group decision with the selection of our pro team. No rider will get selected to our pro team without everybody's approval. We have always wanted to work the world's elite riders that are at the forefront of the sport, but at the same time have a "tight" team. A team that builds sliders in the morning with each other, ride in the afternoon and hangs together at night. A team that has similar views for where they want wakeboarding to go in the future, and can make it happen. For the last 5 months we have been talking to Erik Ruck and JD Webb.
Erik lives with Parks, and is best friends with the rest of the crew on our team. Erik has always been one of the best riders around. He is currently ranked second on the Pro Tour and the World Cup standings. His section in the Pointless movie proves he is much more than just a "contest guy." Erik was looking to establish roots with Hyperlite and grow with our company the way everybody else has. Erik is currently riding the Parks 138 cm board and Parks boots.
JD Webb has really come onto the scene strong lately. I have known JD for quite awhile, and he has a great outlook and, of course, skills. JD wanted to be associated with a group of riders that he felt represented our sport. He wanted to be in a team video with Danny Harf, Chad Sharpe and Scott Byerly and everybody else. We are already working on new projects and JD will definitely be a big part of it. JD rides a 124 cm and a 135 cm Premier board with Parks boots.
