LAKE OSWEGO, OR - Chrome Dome Industries has developed a fastener combination that allows after market fins to be used on 2002 Hyperlite boards.

For the 2002 season, Hyperlite has switched the diameter of the fin screw holes on the majority of their boards from the industry standard 1/4" to 3/16”. The result is that riders with Hyperlite boards are only able to use Hyperlite fins on their boards.

Chrome Dome Industries has developed a two-part fastener, which has 1/4-20 threads at one end and 10-32 threads on the other end. The standard diameter end (1/4”) of the bolt is attached to your fin, while the 3/16” end is inserted through the board and screwed into the flush nut. The nut/stud combination has been dubbed the CDI S.U.H.L. Fastener.

"After numerous complaints from potential customers that owned 2002 Hyperlite boards, we knew there had to be a solution,” said Lyle Ramsdell, president of Chrome Dome Industries. "Our new adapter bolts allow CDI fins, or any other after market fin, to be attached to a 2002 Hyperlite board."

The new bolts are currently available for purchase on http://www.cdifins.com.

Chrome Dome Industries is the premier maker of polished solid aluminum wakeboard fins. The current line of fins includes the Collin Wright signature fin, the Pharaoh (a-tac), the Dynasty (slider), and the Royale (surf). CDI has engineered their fins to weigh within fractions of an ounce of standard fiberglass fins, yet they are at least three times as strong. The widened base design also keeps the fin from denting into the base of the board when hitting sliders. Check out CDI fins at http://www.cdifins.com.
