(Merced, CA) - Not only has Malibu Boats thrown in 17 exciting models for 2003, they still found time to mold the "Malibu Difference" into a new dynamic, content-packed web site. Featuring interactive Flash animation, database driven content and a user-friendly navigational structure, the 2003 Malibu Boats gives present and potential Malibu owners the tools they need to satisfy their quest for information 24 hours a day.
The goal of Malibu's Internet facelift was to design a site that gives enthusiasts the power to find the Malibu Boats information they desire in a quick and painless fashion. The new 2003 web site was built with users in mind. The site features intuitive search capabilities as well as easy-access to the most popular sections of the site. Malibu boat model details are placed front and center on the home page along side other frequently accessed links. No need to dig for pertinent information it is right there for the world to see.
"Over the years we have received a numbers of suggestions regarding our web site and while planning for the 2003 site we pooled those suggestions and made many of them reality," explained Amy Mauzy, Malibu Boats Web Site and PR Manager.
The look of the web site was born from a combination of the styling of the 2003 Malibu Boats Brochure and the unique capabilities a web site can offer. Malibu's company theme for 2003 is MOMENTUM and the web site drives that feeling home with motion-blurred graphics and fast passed animation. The sound effects that accompany this emotional design give browsers the total experience of the "2003 Malibu Momentum".
Behind the scenes the 2003 Malibu Boats web site is cranking with SQL data exchange, Active Server Pages and Macromedia Flash integration. This web site utilizes the latest multimedia design techniques without compromising usability or download-time.
The beauty of this site's design is the scalability. The new 2003 web site can be updated and changed in a matter of seconds. With the help of dynamic web programming, Malibu staff can add and edit web site data on the fly. This means news, images, events, boat specs, boat features and options are updated and available in their most accurate form. This flexibility allows Malibu to offer timely web content without having to worry about a complete web site redesign each time information changes.
Malibu Boats is already brainstorming web site additions and sources for more new exciting content. The future may bring things like an extensive downloadable video archive, more in-depth boat maintenance information, an expanded "Team Malibu" section, early model Malibu information, a custom Malibu boat building utility and more.
