Setting The Scene...
Straight out of the 909 comes a new video from the bad boys of party, big block productions. Outkastz is the newest west coast only video to hit the scene that outlines riding, lifestyle, and chicks. From Harris to Hall, this video is packed with premier left coast riders and a style all their own. The video runs about 45 minutes with another 30 minutes of DVD extras at the end.
The Riding …
First out of the gates is Ricky Gonzales and throws a different variation on his 15 year old signature move, the t to b. After you get past some of the party scene you’ll see RickyG step it up a bit throwing some stylish toeside backside offaxis spins. You’ll also see all of Ricky’s new dance moves.
Next up we have Melissa Marquardt, of which I have no clue how to say her last name. She definitely blows up in this vid- hitting everything from frontside 540s to a nice wrapped up toeside backroll to blind, I think its one of the better female sections out there! And although it probably doesn’t need to be stressed, she kills it on the rails, her final shot is a sick gapped frontside boardslide… at night.
A few delta locals make it into a brief section between Marquardt and Kyle Murphy, which just happens to be one of my favorite parts. Rich Facciano kills it off the doubles, and the import Luke Wulf throws down some 7s like its nobody’s business. Next up we have the Kyle Murphy section which is also pretty impressive. With tons of technical handle passing inverts and way stylish spins of the doubleup, it’s a fun section to watch.
Guns N’ Roses starts off Wahlman’s section as he flies into Canyon Lake. Some things you might want to note are his purple board and bindings- sweet. If you pay close enough attention, you might also see a Serum board, hehe. Cody hall takes the spot light next- a skinny white boy ripping it up to some hard core rap. By far the most impressive part of this section is his almost idiotic 20 stair rail attempt. Big Block created both takeoff and landing pools 6” deep, and Cody rode a 30 foot pipe over concrete stairs. I’ve seen quite a few of stunt type wakeboarding sections in videos, such as the U-Hall section in F4A, but this takes the cake in straight up insanity.
Finally we have the bad man himself- the Vandall. He rips it up per usual with corked-out-grabbed-the-entire-possible-way-sickness. Its really a treat to watch Randy ride, with so much talent and style his tricks are always different each cut into the wake. Most notably about Randy’s riding is the way he can take any trick super big, and add his own left coast style to it.
The Four One One…
