By now pretty much everyone has heard of wake surfing and the great strides this behind the boat off-shoot has taken. The days of old short surfboards are over- enter the high tech wake surfers. Inland Surfer brings three different designs to the market all with different features for a different type of ride.

Inland comes to WakePics with their trick 4’ long and 22.5” wide ‘Red Chubby’. This surfer has a turned up nose and sharper fin angles that provide a quick and responsive board and provides less of a chance of digging the nose. At 22.5” wide this board is a bit chubby but the width allows the board to be shorter, and makes it more responsive.

The ‘Red Chubby’ comes with 3.75” fins and while they do look a bit large, I had no problems breaking it loose and getting a little freaky on the wake. This board was a ton of fun, and provided great entertainment for everyone on the boat.

I find I have the most fun wake surfing when the water is too choppy to skate or ride, it gives me the satisfaction of doing something new and fun on the water without getting discouraged about the conditions. Surf On…
