NBC airing of Vans was a hit!

The overnight rating for this past Saturday's Vans Triple Crown of Wakeboarding event that aired on NBC was 1.4, which is a great rating.

What's more important is that the Slam City Jam, a Vans skateboard event that aired a few weeks earlier received a 1.3 rating! Often, wakeboarding is compared to surfing and skateboarding as a sport that has not yet arrived! This is big news for our industry and for our sport. Wakeboarding got a higher share than skateboarding!

A 1.4 rating represents 1.4% of the total available households. There are an estimated 102.2 million television households in the USA. A single ratings point represents 1%, or 1,022,000 households. Share is the percentage of television sets in use tuned to a specific program.

The 1.4 rating represents 1,428,000 households that tuned into our sport! We can all thank Vans for making this huge opportunity possible.
