World Wakesurf Championship - 2005

KELSEYVILLE, CA: The Fourth World Wake Surf Championships presented by Centurion Boats will once again make its home at Boardstock this year along with the only United States stop for the WWA World Series of Wakeboarding event on August 18-21, 2005.
In 2004 Boardstock was held in Stockton, California and Jamie Lovett took home the title of World Wake Surf Champion. This year Boardstock and the World Wake Surf Championships will reside at Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa on Clear Lake in Kelseyville, California and will feature the top stars from the skimboard, wakeboard, and surfing worlds.
Once again, the World Wake Surf Championship will be an open event to any competitor who wishes to compete along with an amateur event to be held in conjunction with the open event. A purse of $10,000 will be awarded to open competitors. Registration for the open event will begin early June at www.boardstock.com in the World Wake Surf Championships section. Registration for the amateur event will begin mid June.
Preliminary rounds for the open division as well as all amateur divisions will run on Thursday August 18, 2005 with the open semi-finals being on Saturday August 20th and the finals on Sunday the 21st. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis and is limited to 70 total competitors.
Along with the World Wake Surf Championships, Boardstock will feature the WWA World Series of Wakeboarding with all of the top Professional Wakeboarders in the world, freestyle motocross, skydiving, and live music from some of the top recording artists in the world. This is the 10th Anniversary of Boardstock promises to be the largest ever.
