Department of Water and Power Review

Shot in entirely in 16:9 widescreen, Ronnie Romero brings you a film shot from Nebraska featuring lifestyle and riding on some of the flattest lakes and waterways around. Featuring the riding of Keith Lyman, Gerry Nunn, Parks Bonifay, Andrew Adkison, Darin Shapiro, Kyle Alberts, Jonathan Nadolski, Travis Moye, Jeff Solie, Ben Bazis the video is sure to entertain.

With hard hitting sounds matched up with the stylish spins of Keith Lyman and the brute force make-your-bones-hurt inverts Shapiro is known for, the video is a treat on nearly all senses. The video also showcases some of the riding that can be found outside of the state of Florida with such talent as Ben Bazis and Kyle Alberts. Kyle flows throughout his section and so does Ben. While most videos don't have the treat of shooting from an overhead view, we do get this treat with Department of Water and Power. A good chunk of footage is helicopter footage, which makes any riding look damn cool.

From tube to chase, from heli to shore, the guys at WakeboardNebraska.com know how to keep an audience entertained. With a hardened soundtrack that mixes well with the riders who represent them it makes you watch until the very end. And at the very end is my personal favorite. The crash section! There are some damn great crashes. It seems like lately people are skipping the crash sections of videos which I firmly believe is a core part of a wakeboard video. Right after the crash section Ben Bazis hits you up with an amazing section that just reinforces your previous feeling of 'I need to get out and ride'.

Big props to Wakeboard Nebraska, and Ronnie Romero for putting out a great product that takes a grass roots level approach to the place these guys call home. From visiting pros to ripping locals this video captures it all and is a treat to watch how they do it in Nebraska.
