The Flying Nunn - Idaho Water Sports - IWS

(Burley) – Pro Wakeboarder Gerry Nunn, best known as "The Flying Nunn," headlines Idaho Water Sports Gator Wakeboard Demo Days event on Thursday, August 4, 2005 and Friday, August 5, 2005, at the Burley Golf Course Marina. The event begins at 9 a.m. and runs through 5 p.m. both days. The Demo Day is open to the public; there is no cost to attend. Participants under the age of 18 must have parental consent for both the clinic and to demo the wakeboards

Wakeboarding clinics taught by Nunn begin at 9AM both days. Gator wakeboards are available for on-the-water demonstration testing throughout the event. Pre-registration is encouraged for the wakeboarding clinic, and costs $85 for a half-day session or $150 for a full-day session. Additionally, Nunn performs a wakeboarding exhibition for attendees at noon. Following the performance, an autograph session runs until 1:30 p.m. Refreshments provided by Al’s Pizza are offered to attendees during Thursday’s activities.

"Gerry came to Burley two years ago, and it was one of our best events. His nickname is ‘The Flying Nunn’, and you’ll know why when you see him in action. It’ll be an absolute blast for everyone who attends!"

After Thursday’s event, Idaho Water Sports hosts a movie premiere party at the Chadwick Grill in Burley, which features footage of Nunn. The party begins at 7 p.m. and costs $5 to enter. The movie, Man Over Board, is produced by Gator Wakeboards. Nunn will also sign autographs for attendees at the premiere party.

Nunn competed at the 2004 Pro Wakeboarding Tour, he went on to take 4th place at the 2004 Malibu Open competition, and is in his eighth year to compete on the professional circuit. He is sponsored by Gator Boards, Malibu, Fox, Bare, Overton’s, Titan Towers, LX Sunglasses, and Nice.
