Harris signs with Malibu

New Team Malibu rider Randall "the Vandall" Harris is officially back on the professional wakeboard circuit astonishing fans with his strong character as well as his signature style and unbelievable skill.

(Merced, CA) - The original mischief-maker of wakeboarding, Randall "the Vandall" Harris, is back on the scene for the 2008 season training behind a Malibu boat, championing the sport and taking life one day at a time. Fresh off a successful first tour stop, Harris is proving that his nickname is as dated as his old ways. He is dazzling on the water with his signature skill-set and off the water with determination and faith. Now a bit of an anomaly in the world of wakeboarding, Harris has found semblance with his new boat sponsor and a team heavy on character and talent, Team Malibu.

When asked about his new relationship with Malibu Boats, this self-proclaimed "passionate" guy couldn't hold back. "I love everything about Malibu." Harris explained, ".they were the first and only boat company I wanted to approach for a sponsorship."

Harris expresses an admiration for Malibu Boats as a company, but he will be the first to tell you that the boats are what initially drew him to Malibu. "I feel that visually the boats are the most progressive. Malibu boats are super comfortable whether chillin' or in the driver seat. The wake is perfect. It's real meaty with the perfect tranny [transition]. And large!"

Harris credits his life and career turn-around to Jesus, his family, Eric "Gator" Lutgert, founder of Gator Boards and Ronn and Dorothee Seidenglanz of Sidewayz Video Distribution. Many in the industry also give Harris a lot of the credit and attribute his about-face to his willingness to change and his positive outlook. "I'm seein' everything in a completely different light than I used to. I'm surrounding myself with positive people so the experience is always positive."

The affinity Harris feels for Malibu Boats is definitely reciprocal. According to Lani Farmer, Team and Event Director for Malibu, Harris is a perfect fit on the team. "Randall is one of the most well known riders in the history of the sport, and he has the personal strength that we demand from our team members."
