Abbotsford, B.C. – By virtue of the Indmar Pro Tour Standings and the absence of Darin Shapiro from the final tour stop of the season, Parks Bonifay will take the 2001 Pro Tour title even before taking the water for the Men’s Wakeboarding Semifinals at Albert Dyck Park on Sunday.
In the Men’s Wakeboarding Quarterfinals on Saturday, brothers Parks and Shane Bonifay qualified their way into Sunday’s Men’s Semifinals. Parks is looking to make it four Pro Tour victories in a row with a win in Abbotsford.
Bonifay will be joined in the finals Danny Harf, Zane Schwenk and Gerry Nunn who each won qualifying heats on Saturday. Also entering the semifinals will be Shaun Murray, the 1999 Pro Tour Season Champion and 2000 Vans Triple Crown Champion.
