It is with great sadness, and regret, that I write to inform you of the passing of our very own Thomas J. Hernandez, known to all of us as "Jeff." Jeff, father of Heath and Mindy, and husband to Helen, was not only an active and volunteering member of the AWA, he was an outstanding member of the Mormon Church as well as a Mesa Police Officer. He passed away early Saturday morning of heart complications.
Jeff will be dearly missed and many tears will surely fall. I ask that if you are interested in supporting Jeff's family in either attending services, or donating your time in some sort of AWA fundraiser to contact me, Tom Bugg, by email at theawa@hotmail.com or at 602-318-8866. We are currently deciding what type of fund raiser would fit this situation and be wakeboard related, being that Jeff loved the sport so much. If you have any ideas, please let me know. If you would like to send cards or anything else to the Hernandez family, they should go to:

The funeral will take place Wednesday, 8/8 at 10 AM and will last approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes at the following location:
