This picture was taken right before I broke my ribs last summer. I fell on my side. I broke my rib again 4 weeks later. After that I realized that all USCG approved vests have foam and protection on the front and on the back, but none on the sides to protect the rib cage. I even spoke about this with the people in charge of approving PFDs at the USCG. So, user beware! Anyway, we always have fun when we go to this little lake close to campus.
