Title: Another Schleprock Day

Description:

Well another Schleprock-type day is behind me.

It all started when I went to check to tower screws to make sure they were tight and dropped the alan wrench in the delta.

From there, I get ready to ride and after about five minutes the boat dies and I begin to float further and further downstream from the boat and crew.

My crew tied several ropes together and John tried on his new Birthday Suit (no, not THAT one…he gota BARE drysuit for his D-Day…heheh) and then jumped in with the ropes to come and get me.

They pulled me in the boat, wrapped me up in towels and blankets and tried to defrost my feet which were now an interesting shade of blue. Shortly thereafter, the rain started so the crew decided to put up the bimini. I took of my helmet because I was uncomfortable….just in time for my crew to drop the bimini on top of my head!!! No stitches….just a loud THUD and lots of laughter.

Finally, our savior comes. Steve, in his yellow Mastercraft, hears the yelling, honking and whistling and sees the waving towels so he comes to the other side of the slough to drag us out of the toolies. He tells us that he doesn’t mind towing us back to Orwood so the next part of our adventure begins…..

As the crew sits back enjoying our rations of Nutter Butters and some good laughter from the previous events, we look up in time to notice that Steve’s boat is heading directly for the toolies in Old River. Looking closer, we discover that Steve is now slumped over the steering wheel and does not appear to be moving….fears of heart failure now run through our heads.

Shouting and honking finally awoke Steve from his slumber just in time to make a sharp left and avoid the toolies.....enjoy this short clip as those moments unfold....
